one of my neighbors just down the road from me at the Hi Jolly boondocking area
It looks like the cold spell is over and for the next 10 days its going to be in the 60s in the daytime and 40s at night. That's not exactly what I would expect desert temperatures to be but it's an improvement over what it was so I gladly take it.
I'm seeing more and more people move around me now, it's still not crowded by any means but there's definitely more folks than when I got here. I'm wondering what's going on over at the Long Term Visitor Areas. Are people going and living there, and using the facilities, even though it's technically closed. Or are they staying away and going to the other boondocking areas like where I'm at? If they're going to the other boondocking areas then these areas might get pretty darn crowded by the time The Big Show starts.
Then again the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous,[ RTR ] is happening out in a largely unused part of the desert, and since their projected to attract gazillions of RVs maybe that will take a load off of other places. I ought to drive over to the RTR one of these days and see what it looks like. I have absolutely no desire to attend something like that and don't understand the mentality of those that do. But it might be interesting to take some pictures and see what it looks like.
This is another one of my neighbors. I had never seen a slidein this small before, and it didn't even look like a bed would fit in there. But I looked it up on the Internet and there's not only a bed in there but a kitchen and a portapotty.I hope he doesn't travel with a wife and four kids.
