Warning! Boring electrical problem ahead

There are several good reasons to click the pics..... I just can't think of any at the moment.

Just when I thought almost all the flowers were dead or dying around here, I found this one hidden in some bushes where it was out of sight

Strange as it may sound, in all the times I've used the bronco to go camping, I've never put water in its water tank. Instead of sanitizing the tank, putting water in it, and draining it all out when I get home, I've just been using gallon jugs of water from Walmart. They are easier to deal with since my mini-vacations are only about a week-long or less, and I don't have to deal with water in the broncos tank.

And what that means is, in all this time, I've never had to turn on the broncos water pump.... Until now, and it didn't come on.

I always do the simplest thing first, which in this case was checking the only fuse that I could see, and it was okay. But with RVs, sometimes they put fuses in places where you're not looking, but I couldn't find a fuse anywhere else in the line.

I have a spare water pump that I keep in the Arctic Fox, so I wasn't worried about the water pump not working, and I thought maybe the simplest thing was to install the other water pump and see what happens. But the water pump in the bronco is kind of difficult to get access to, so I only wanted to do that as a last resort.

So I checked the hot-wire to the water pump with my trusty multimeter, and sure enough, the wire was dead. I consider that a good sign because I definitely didn't want to go to the trouble of removing the broncos water pump.

So I started tracing the hot wire back to its source, which is not always easy in an RV, but in this case, it worked out. There's an electrical panel that has all of the 12-volt stuff labeled and even a light that comes on when you turn these six or seven things on in the bronco, and there are fuses for each one of the 12-volt things, and those are the switches and fuses I had already checked, especially the one labeled "water pump".

But there was another red wire from that water pump switch that I continued to follow, and lo and behold, inside of a cabinet was a single switch I've never seen before, and it wasn't labeled, but I switched it to on, and the water pump ran.

I don't know why that switch was there, and I haven't had a chance to figure it out yet, because I was so happy to have the water pump running. I really didn't care at the moment. But I'll look into it a little deeper one of these days. But right now, I'm just happy to have running water.

This is the compartment that houses the batteries, water tank, controller for the electric jacks, and the water pump.

The water pump is what looks like a silver disc near the center, bottom of the picture. It's a little hard to get to, so I didn't want to take it out just for the fun of it.

There appears to be a lot of wires going every which way which is partially my fault, since I put wires in for the 4 solar panels, solar controller, and inverter.
