Good breakdown of juice usage. I really like those big Li-On batts, but can't see shelling out $600+ each for them.

I traveled and camped for several years in a Ford Econoline van and only had to stop when I moved to Colorado because it didn't have four-wheel-drive and I couldn't get to my house when it snowed.

Sometimes "boring" is good - a thing to be appreciated in fact. As the Chinese say, "Better to be a dog in times of tranquility than a human in times of chaos."

That's very true. Boring is very subjective, and changes with age. What I considered boring when I was young, I now consider a restful and relaxing day.

That brought back memories of Dave and I doing a power inventory in preparation for installing solar panels, What freedom solar panels provide if you size them correctly! Man, now I'm again wishing I was back out there.

I know how you feel, I felt the same way before I went full-time. There's something about the freedom of boondocking, especially in a place like Q, where no matter how crowded it is there's still plenty of room. Maybe it's the weather, maybe its the endless desert, maybe it's the people that you immediately have something in common with because their all RVers. I'm not sure what it is, but it's a place I know I can find a quiet place to boondock and that always gives me a feeling of freedom.
