Well I've answered the question about whether or not Storrie Lake State Park will be crowded on the weekend, and the answer is a definite no. As near as I can tell there's about the same number of people here as on any other day. Now the weather's been kind of bad today, it was cloudy and rainy to well after lunch and is probably only 60° outside, so maybe that accounts for the lack of weekend visitors.
I had planned on driving around town today to see what I could see, but the weather kept me mostly inside. It's supposed to be nicer tomorrow so I'll probably go driving around then. I'll need to go to Walmart by tomorrow, which is no big deal since its only about 3 miles away which makes it very convenient. And another reason I like to stay at Storrie Lake State Park. I haven't been paying attention to how much water I had in my water tank and I run out of water shortly after I got here. That didn't seem like a problem, because there's a water spigot in my boondocking site, until I found out that they don't turn on the water until May 1. But even then it's still not a disaster because there's a working water spigot about 100 yards away which I wish I had known about before I unhooked the Arctic Fox. I guess a person with more sense than me would simply hook the trailer up, drag it to the water spigot, fill 'er up, and re-park again. But I decided that since I need a little exercise I would just walk up there with a couple of gallon containers and put some in my water tank whenever I needed it. So that's what I've been doing for the last three or four days. And since I don't use a whole lot of water that's been working out fine, I'm just glad I don't have to fill up a bathtub that way. theboondork
