In my opinion Colorado is a beautiful place, and clicking the pics may show you why.

Hm. I can't find my previous comment. Oh well, it was earth shaking as usual. Just to the effect that I was kind of alarmed to see ZERO traces of snow in the high country, adding that I'd always been camping around in either late April or October....so I didn't have experience with August. And today, I would only add that those months I was there had to do with too many people other times, even 30 years ago. I'd probably just drop dead if I went back today.

I'm sorry about losing your comment Judith, I looked back in pass comments and I can't find it, maybe it got misplaced because of my travels.

When my Mom lived in Denver I would go visit but sleep for the first three days. I tried flying in for a weekend once and you can imagine how that turned out.

I've seen some stores in the mountains that actually sell aerosol cans of oxygen about the size of spray paint cans, I'm not sure where you would have to be that a can of oxygen that small would be of much help.

Ruidoso NM actually has an O2 "bar" for lowland Texans. You just pay and get at whiff. Ruidoso is not very high as I am sure you are aware. Eye rolling time.

Yeah I've been through Ruidoso New Mexico but I don't recall ever stopping. But I don't think Ruidoso is high enough to cause a Colorado mountain man to take a breath more than three or four times a day.
