I've been thinking, it's getting awfully hot in Phoenix. It's been over 90° for the last three days and even though later in the week it's supposed to get down into the mid-80s maybe I should think about heading someplace cooler.
I'm going to leave Ben Avery's on Sunday and I haven't made up my mind yet where I'm going to go. And even though I like the thought of living an unscripted life, I really don't like the feeling of not knowing where I'm going to go. Not to the point of making reservations, because I almost never make a reservation, but I at least like to know what area I'm heading for.
I think it could be because I enjoy research, and when I figure out what area I'm going to that gives me a reason for doing more research. I've got maps, and e-books, and Google Earth, all of which give me a lot of ways to research the place I'm going and I consider that enjoyable.
It's only Tuesday so I've got plenty of time to figure it all out, I've already been looking at long-range weather forecast for different areas and realize that I need to be heading either North or higher in altitude. Flagstaff would be an obvious choice, but it's still way too cold there. The Benson or Tombstone area looks promising, even though there farther south than I am now, there higher in altitude and the daily highs in that area looks pretty comfortable for the next two weeks.
I'll get it figured out sooner or later, but I don't want to figure it out too soon because that just gives me more time to change my mind.
