I went running around today taking pictures of desert wildflowers, and it looks like yellow flowers dominate the landscape. I was hoping there would be the purple and orange kind that spread along the ground and cover large areas of the desert but there was very very few of those as yellow is the predominant color.
I have to leave here tomorrow morning. I don't like staying someplace for two days if I can help it, it's too long to stay packed up, and its too short to completely unpack. I'm just sort of in limbo somewhere between belonging, and just passing through.
I haven't figured out where I'm going to go tomorrow morning, but I'm sure I will and I'm just as sure I'll be happy when I get there.
About the only desert flower that I can name is the Mexican Poppy and I believe that's what these are. There's not a whole lot of Mexican Poppy's around it's mostly some other yellow flower I don't know the name of.
A lone Mexican Poppy clinging to life in the rocks.
