I got a lot accomplished today getting the bronco ready to sell. I think I would be two days ahead of where I am now if it wasn't so hot. I either have to stop working from around 2 o'clock to around 5 o'clock because of the heat or slow down to the point I don't accomplish very much.

I'm still debating whether I want to remove the one solar panel that I left on the bronco or leave it and its solar controller on the bronco. Since a pop-up truck camper would mostly be used for boondocking, I think having a solar panel and a solar controller installed might be a good selling point.

I realize that having one 100-watt solar panel that puts out about five amps per hour isn't going to do much except keep your battery charged if you're not using it. But some folks might feel that it's easier to add a few solar panels than it is to put in a whole new system,

But if I leave the solar panel and solar controller in the bronco, it means I have to go out and buy a new solar system for the Lance instead of just replacing it with the solar system off the bronco. A good thing about putting a new long-term boondocking solar system on the Lance is I will have the three panels I took off the bronco, so I've only got to buy two or three more, depending on the roof space the Lance has. And the distances I have to run wires are much shorter on the Lance, which means I can use smaller, more inexpensive wires than the long, thumb-size wires, I had to run on the Arctic Fox.

And speaking of solar, I haven't even been up on the roof of the Lance yet to see how much room there is for solar panels. I'm hoping I can get six, hundred watt panels up there, which isn't as much as the Arctic Fox has, but I think with the speed the lithium-iron batteries can be charged, I should be able to live comfortably with just 600 Watts.

I'm starting to bring a few things into the Lance.

Some things I'm bringing in to the Lance will find a permanent home here, others are just passing through to get them out of the bronco.

In the lower left hand corner you can see my Mr. Buddy Heater. It's a propane heater and works exactly like the propane heater I have in the Arctic Fox. I love the propane heater in the Arctic Fox and put it's value up there with solar panels and batteries, since it's a major contributor to keeping me warm and comfortable while boondocking.

The heater in the Arctic Fox is too big for the Lance so I'm going to give the Mr. Buddy Heater a try. I have a hose to hook up the Mr. buddy heater to the normal 20 pounds tanks. So I'll see how it goes when it gets chilly around here.
