It got really cold last night and stayed pretty cold until about lunch time, than it managed to get up into the mid-50s and since it was sunny, the mid-50s felt pretty good.
The cold and snow pretty much wiped out what was left of the flower garden but the flowers will all be back next spring, as will I. So I guess that makes me a perennial.
I was looking at the 10 day weather forecast and it looks like there shouldn't be any problems like snow or wind that would keep me from heading south next week.
Even though I miss my family when I leave, when the weather starts getting either too hot or too cold I get the urge to go someplace that doesn't require wearing a coat in the daytime or running an air conditioner at night, and that along with my love for traveling makes it difficult for me to stay in one place for too long.
Sometimes I'm not sure if it's the traveling that makes me happy or the freedom that the traveling life gives me that makes me happy. I don't think that in this day and age a person can get any more free than a full-time RVer, and especially if you're a boondocker. A full-time RVer can come and go as they please and if you're a boondocker home really is where you park it, and I can't think of a better way than that to live.
You know It's time to hitch up and head South when you wake up in the morning and find frost on your ball.
Heavy wet snow was too much for the flowers
Most of the flowers froze during the night and looked like this in the morning
