A chilly, cloudy, gray morning. Not what you would expect to find in the desert, and fortunately you don't find it very often.
Today dawned cloudy, windy, and chilly never getting out of the low 60s, not a very deserty kind of day. But I fine day for staying inside and relaxing.
I'm getting to the point where I'm going to need to make a Walmart run in a day or so, and as usual I'm dreading it because they're still saying that cases of the flu are increasing in Arizona, so it hasn't peaked yet. I guess I'm lucky that I've been to Walmart several times and I'm still not sick so maybe Walmart isn't the place to catch the flu.
I haven't had any mice problems since I've been here and it's been about a week. I can see what I believe are mouse holes scattered around me in the desert but so far none of them have found their way into the Arctic Fox.
I really don't understand the whole mouse situation. It seems like some places I'm at I get overrun with mice and other places, even though they look the same as far as mice are concerned, have no problems. I wish I could tell what the difference is so I could avoid boondocking in the mousy places.
It was so chilly today That my Hearthrite propane heater got quite a workout. This little heater is one of my favorite boondocking accessories,
