Thank you for that Barney. They sound like some really nice folks, and I'll bet they do have a lifetime of stories to tell. I was just amazed that they were able to deal with an RV in their late 80s. I hope to hear from them again sometimes.

As we who RV get older we face the question on when to hang up the keys. IMHO it all depends on the individual and their circumstance. Some folks have great minds but have physical frailties. Others are the opposite. My 94 yr old mothers mind is sharp but she is mobility limited. People have a hard time giving up activities they have done all their lives such as driving. We have had to encourage the hanging up the keys with several of our kin. Others knew when to do it. I hope when the time comes I can make the correct decision. Life circumstances also dictate our ability to RV.

A wise and sincere opinion Larry. Giving up one's keys must be a traumatic experience for almost everyone because as much as we all joke about being old and geezerly, hanging up the keys is no joke but an admission that we actually are too old to do normal things and will no longer have the freedom to come and go as we, please. And since freedom is something that means a lot to me, it sounds like it will be hard to come to grips with.
